Wine description

Named after our region, this limited edition Rosé revived an old rosé tradition of our estate: a "passage en fûts" for 4 months in 2-3 year old french oak barrels. An hommage to the national nature reserve of the Plaines des Maures in which our vineyards are located. A gastronomic Rosé from our best grapes of great delicacy. Full and round the palette, fresh and unoaky.  Perfect to accompany a sophisticated, spicy or Asian cuisine.

Tasting: The dress is light apricot color with gray and shiny highlights.
The nose is complex and powerful, with notes of roasting, coffee, spices, chocolate and vanilla. On the palate full, fresh with notes of spices, aromas of coffee and liquorice which contribute to a persistent finish

Arômes des Maures is a sophisticated Rosé. It's particularity?  The minerality , finesse and subtle scents of aromatic herbs (coriander, peppermint, Thai basil) make it a perfect companion for spicy dishes, sushi  or ceviche. At the same time this wine is a superb alternative to a fresh and light red wine to accompany your meat such as veal and poultry.

We recommend hard cheeses with characteristic salt crystals. For example, a full-flavoured Gruyère - an aromatic raw milk cheese from western Switzerland - or a mild Comté - a raw milk cheese from the French Jura.

Gold Medal: Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge 2019

Here is the tasting comment: " Light orange. Expressive nose of red fruits, vanilla, herbs and a tangy touch. A supple attack leads into a rich, fresh palate that is ethereal yet indulgent with subtle spice. Lovely persistent exuberance. Set aside for white meats."

The Gilbert & Gaillard Wine Guide is the work of two tasters, Philippe Gaillard and François Gilbert. They began as directors at the Presses de la Cité, a major Parisian publishing house. In 1991 they became editors of guides and magazines themselves. Today they are at the head of a group dedicated to wine located all over the world.

Each year, Gilbert & Gaillard organizes an international tasting contest to select the best wines. Their wine guide is quite different from others. The particularity is the selection. The authors seek to mention a large number of affordable wines. The wines are rated on a scale of 100, close to that of Parker. Usuallay, grades above 90 seem to be reserved for crus classés bordelais and top champagnes.

Silver  Medal: 13th Concours Mondial des Vins Féminalise 2019
The Feminalise World Wine Competition is a unique concept: Inspired by the economical impact of women in the wine industry all wines are exclusively tasted by professionals or seasoned oenophiles women. Each year more than 600 tasters from all over the world attend the extraordinary Féminalise Wine Tasting Competition. The competition started in 2007 in Beaune, became international in 2015 and moved to Paris in 2018 as to its increasing international recognition. More than 4500 wines were tested for the 2019 edition.

The contest is proud of its optimal tasting conditions:
- Tasters are selected from the wine industry on the basis of their abilities to taste and evaluate wines.
- All wines are blind-tasted by three women seated at tables placed far apart from each other.
- No commentary or influence is possible between the tasters.
- Each wine is evaluated following a tasting sheet with 39 control points.
