While Marseille is recognised as the birthplace of Pastis, Saint-Tropez was one of the very first towns to launch its own Pastis in the early 1950s. Pastis 12/12 is keen to revive this local tradition while respecting the specific characteristics that make up the beauty of the Saint-Tropez peninsula. Its name comes from an old expression used by the boulistes (bowlers): each game being played to 13 points, "12/12" means "match ball" for both teams. Pastis 12/12 is produced in the Cristal Limiñana family distillery, the oldest distillery in Marseille (1884) and one of the few still operating in the city.
