IGP Méditerranée
9°: A rosé with an alcohol content of 9°, for €9 and most delicious at 9°C. This wine holds many trump cards to delight wine lovers who are not (yet) really enthusiastic about non-alcoholic wines, but are still looking for lighter wines. A cuvée made from red Carignan and white Ugni blanc grapes.
Wine
This innovative low-alcohol IGP Méditerranée rosé offers a new sensory experience while remaining faithful to the great tradition of Mediterranean rosés.
By using a vacuum de-alcoholisation technique, the Maîtres Vignerons de Saint Tropez have succeeded in preserving the wine's delicate aromas while reducing its alcohol content and preserving its IGP Méditerranée designation.
Here are the steps involved in the principle of this wine: Basically 20% of the volume of an 11.5% wine are de-alcoholised by vacuum distillation. After volatile aromatic compounds are reincorporated, the 20% at 0° is added back to the 80% at 11.5%. The result is a 9% wine. An innovative method using little water.
